Dr. Jason P. Galante founded Essex Union Podiatry in 1995. He built the practice around three principles that still guide every patient interaction: experience, knowledge, and compassion.
Before opening his own practice, Dr. Galante trained alongside physicians who served the New York Jets and New York Giants. That sports medicine foundation shaped his approach: precise diagnosis, conservative options first, and surgery only when the evidence demands it.
Outside the office, Dr. Galante has practiced martial arts for over 35 years. That discipline shows up in his clinical work. He takes a focused, methodical approach to every case, whether it involves a child's flat feet or an adult's complex ankle reconstruction.
Dr. Galante lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife and children. He commutes to all four Essex Union Podiatry locations in New Jersey to ensure patients across the practice receive care from the founder himself.
